Majd is a senior strategy expert and award-winning engineer with a track record in assisting NGOs and government organizations in developing innovative and transformational strategies and programs which are aimed at advancing decarbonization, energy efficiency, and green building principles in the region. Currently, Majd leads strategy and policy development related to demand side management, water management, green mobility, and circular economy at the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy. Majd also is the director and board member at the newly launched platform, Advancing Net Zero Volunteering Team which aims at accelerating net zero cities in the UAE. Prior to that, Majd has held several positions including senior energy advisor to the Royal Danish Consulate General in Dubai, technical lead at Emirates Green Building Council and project manager of the National CDM Program for Solar Energy in Lebanon. Majd was a speaker at 50+ flagship sustainability events in the UAE and region, a jury member of several regional awards programs and lead author of 8 technical energy publications. He was selected to be part of the first cohort of Emerging Board Leaders Fellowship, powered by HSBC which recognizes exceptional Arab and North African men and women under the age of 45 and accelerates their pathway to boardrooms. Majd holds a master’s degree in renewable energy, bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, CEM, LEED AP, and TRUE Advisor credentials.

Wael Badawy is the Executive Vice President of Siemens Middle East's Smart Infrastructure Sustainability business. Since 2021, Wael has been leading the company’s efforts to drive energy efficiency, operational resilience, and environmental impact across key industries.

He joined Siemens in 2018 as a Senior Projects Manager, overseeing large-scale projects and ensuring strategic alignment with the company’s long-term vision.

Manivel Periasamy has been in Healthcare Facilities Management industry for last 35 years. Having his academic background in Engineering and Post graduation in Technology Management, he gained his experience in Medical Equipment Manufacturing, Project Management, Hard and Soft FM services in various organizations during his career span. In addition to serving as Director of Facilities Management, he leads the sustainability initiatives of American Hospital Dubai group. He has successfully managed many of the retrofit energy and water conservation projects to optimize Energy and Water Use Intensity in the hospital setting over the years resulting in significant carbon footprint reduction. As Hospitals are consuming higher levels of energy per unit area compared to other commercial buildings, energy cost is a critical component in overall of healthcare delivery costs. He continues to explore potential avenues of energy optimization strategies of the group.
